Quick Olive Oil Recipe: How to Make Olive Tampenade

Why make this quick olive oil recipe? Most of us lack time to produce high quality snacks that are also delicious.


This olive oil recipe contains three ingredients, olives, garlic and extra virgin olive oil (EVOO). According to Healthline, "Olives are a great source of Vitamin E and antioxidants." Garlic is known to boost the immune system, decrease blood pressure and cholesterol, among other benefits, according to the British Heart Foundation. The benefits of EVOO are many, including promoting cardiovascular health, it supports healthy memory, brain function, combats pain and inflammation. You can't go wrong making this as an appetizer or just as a snack -- healthy and delicious.


Ingredients:

  • 1 can large black olives

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • EVOO

Directions:

  1. Add one can of large black olives to food processor

  2. Add one clove of garlic to food processor

  3. Pulse 1-3 times

  4. Drizzle in EVOO, pulse one to two more times to desired consistency

  5. Serve with slices of warm, fresh bread and goat cheese, serve it as a dip with crackers or stir into hummus (our next recipe, coming soon). Voila, quick appetizer!
